You idiot, you’re just looking for stupid reasons to tear down the Wii. The Wii is just a game console. That’s what it’s for. GAMES. It’s a game consoles games and how well Nintendo’s software is optimised for the hardware that you should judge it for. It’s additional features are for enhancing the experience and providing more options. If you want a computer, then instead of using a game console, you use a computer. After all, that is one of the things the computer is for, right? The Wii is meant for playing games, getting exercise and truly enjoying games. Not for browsing the web. that option is only present for quicker access, because maybe you’re using the widely-acclaimed Microsoft Windows (In general, it dominates by over 90% of the worldwide market, Windows XP itself consuming 50%). Microsoft Windows takes forever to load. And, in 7 and Vista, not to mention that additional load time for Windows programs and services that still take forever to load, even after the core system itself is booted and running either at the login screen or at your desktop. Because computers running Windows would take forever to load, you would use the Wii as a quick access option, because the Wii boots almost instantly, and the browser itelf starts in just seconds.

And, compared to the PS3, the Wii’s browser is fast and reliable. The PS3′s browser is slow, has common layout errors, and commonly has out of memory dialogs. The same is with the Wii, but stalls, errors and memory issues are much, much less common. And at least Nintendo was smart enough to have another company, which already has been making a fast, compatible, stable browser, make a custom browser for them. SONY did their own browser, and we just see how much it sucked.
