Hating on the Wii is now mostly reserved to rabbid fanboys who would hate anything that doesn’t their chosen brand slapped on it. They are not ‘hardcore’ nor are they ‘real gamers’, a true hardcore gamer would be all about the games, not what system it is on or whether it’ll let them suck Microsoft’s or Sony’s virtual dicks or not.

The Wii has a great library of games now, more than enough to justify owning the console and the majority are exclusives because the system is so different. It is why I own a 360 and a Wii, because it gives me the widest range of gaming experiences and I buy the games that are the best on either platform (yes some multiplatform games are actually better on the Wii, like Tiger Woods, Guitar Hero 5, PES or Shaun White).

This will all go straight over the heads of the Wii haters though. In between removing the Sony or Microsoft cock from their mouths they’ll still be saying ‘uh duh da Wii it sux an all da games sux an ar fur babyz’

This year I’ve bought 2 awesome Wii games (Tatsunoko vs Capcom and No More Heroes 2) and 2 awesome 360 games (Bayonetta and Mass Effect 2). For the rest of the year there’ll actually be more Wii games that I’ll want than 360 games, such as Endless Ocean 2, Fragile Dreams, Monster Hunter Tri, Trauma Team, Arc Rise Fantasia, Metroid Other M, Mario Galaxy 2, Tales of Graces and Zelda (if it hits 2010). For the 360 there is Splinter Cell and Lost Planet 2 but that is about all that interests me so far. If I wasn’t a multi console owner then my options would be a lot more limited and the 360 alone wouldn’t have been enough for the whole year.

If you want ‘real’ games instead of ‘kiddy’ features, go for games like Prince of Persia or Zangeki no Reginleiv, which utilize the full spectrum of the motion controller and MotionPlus© accessory.

The selling point is family-friendliness. By gaining casual gamers, we have been able to expand the gamer market into non-hardcore gamers who just wish to have a good time every now and then, especially with friends.

Most games are made with multiplayer in mind, though there are also very challenging non-multiplayer games such as Muramasa: Demon blade, or Ninja Reflex.

License games have always been unfavoured by the hardcore group of gamers, and this is unlikely to change. Yes, the Wii has it’s share of ‘non-original content’ and movie related games, just as every other console. But nobody is forcing you to buy them. In fact, the core buyer group of licensed games from developers such as Harry Potter games from EA are families with children under 12.

According to marketing projections, each Wii owner will on average purchase 3 to 7 Wii games during the span of the console, as well as an extra controller and/or a nunchuck. Well over 50% of people who purchase the Sports Resort, which comes with the MotionPlus©, will shortly purchase another MotionPlus© accessory. The company is definitely not dwindling financially, and a new console is already in the works.

As previous feedback has requested, the next console will indeed support Full HD output and much more improved graphics, while still retaining backwards compatibility with Wii games and even the controllers.

…titles are shit… Its personal opinion really but it goes all ways, xbox lovers hate the wii linup and the ps3 linup (which the ps3 and xbox linup are the same) ps3 lovers hate everything that isnt sony and probably whack off on their system every night before bed. And wii lovers are usually people who dont give a crap and if they do they hate ps3 n 360’s lineup aswell.

…no dvd player… Wow when i watch movies i use a dvd player, they concentrated on the gaming system, like a game console company should do, why are you so worried about an out of game hardware that costs 20 bucks at wal mart?
