Reply to Bones: Nintendo Wii can be easily hacked in which games can be biased against you? In that case I will NEVER get the WII even if it’s for free.

That’s pretty sick for online gamers to cheat by making their characters always 1st place and you in last place. :p

Nintendo needs to go back to the SNES days of variety like all the good RPG and adventure games.

FYI, the CPU is an IBM PowerPC 730MHz processor (Do your research!)

Secondly, the Wii does have support for DVD format. The Wii system software just isn’t made to play movies from them. (DVD is not a movie-specific disc as most claim, it is a type of disc with more capacity and can store any type of data.)

Third, you don’t need to have good hardware to have a good console. Hardware won’t do any good if your software isn’t optimized for it. You can have the latest high-specification quad-core CPU, if your software isn’t optimized for it, well, it won’t do any good.

Nintendo has done a pretty good job optimizing their hardware and software for each other. The optimization of the games is left up to the game developer.

If you have lag, it’s not just the fault of the hardware, it’s the fault of the software. Software won’t work well at all if the software manufacturer didn’t optimize it for that hardware and poorly wrote the software.

And fourth, content is king. If you don’t have a good game that is truly enjoyable, and has a good story if it’s one of those story-type or RPG games, then really… what’s the point of the console?

If you can’t enjoy a game for it’s actual story and content, then thats worse than having a console with horrible hardware.

you wii fans are saying how xbox and ps3 fans have move and kinect now so they shouldn’t be saying motion controlls suck.Well i got one thing to tell you ms and sony did motion controlls right. they made it how people wanted it and more accurate. the wii’s motion controlls are inaccurate and for dancing games such as just dance all you have to do is wave your arms. a dancing game for the kinect called dance central you auctually get a workout and you can not cheat. and by the way all you people who are saying that the wii isn’t a dvd player and that it is a true gaming system.the xbox and the ps3 are better gaming systems and include free dvd, music, and movie players that make the gaming experience better. All in all wii sucks and that is why i sold mine to a six year old.

Pay attention as I refute every claim you can make.
1. “Colorful bubbly shaped characters are for little children and cartoons.” In case you hadn’t noticed, Wii games are cartoons marketed to little children. Nice one, dipshit.
2. See above.
3. The Wii has rechargeable batteries available like every other console.
4. Not only are there 3rd party apps to play DVDs on wii, but Nintendo has promised a version specifically updated to do so. Do some research.
5. Shockingly enough, the overwhelming majority of kids out there have legal guardians. Funny how that happens?
6. Console gamers can’t even begin to reasonably consider themselves “hardcore.” The system was designed to be fun and new, yet here you are “thinking that history is going to repeat itself, over and over again.”
7. I’ll give you that the Wii is lacking in online play. Well done.
8. Flash memory and SD reader. Do you even know what the fuck you’re talking about?
9. Gimmicks? Funny, coming from a guy whose preferred companies both recently came out with weak, poorly funded Wii ripoffs.
10. Forgetful butterfingerses don’t deserve any console. Good day to you sir.
