The three most successful franchises of all time are as followed: Mario 240 million copies sold Pokemon 207 million copies sold Tetris 125 million copies sold Call of Duty has only 55 million copies sold. I will admit that is a decent record, but nothing compared to Mario. The controls of the Wii are new and have revolutionized gaming. The controls used by PS3 and XBox 360 are just the classic design. The PS3 has some motion control, but it is unresponsive and poor. The PS3 graphics are good, but the XBox 360 has the same graphics and the PS3 uses a blu-ray player while the XBox 360 uses and HD DVD drive. The Wii graphics are not crappy. You people just compare them to the PS3 and say that because the quality is not as good as the PS3, you immediately judge it. The Wii sales are actually higher than the PS3 and XBox 360 sales combined. And that, is how you own a bunch of Sony fanboys and XBox fanboys in one go. I have a Wii (it was a christmas 'gift'), a PS3, and an Xbox 360. Unless you're a small child, the Wii is a total joke. The controls are 'neat' for about a week, the graphic capacities are laughable, and it's almost completely devoid of any type of media playback, unless you want to look at photos in lo-res. And you'd better like Mario. A LOT. I think they just appeal to immature pseudo-intellects (you know, the ones who love their Mac, color matched to their new VW beetle) who are suckered in by the notion that you get exercise (I have a real bike and weights for that) and the gimmicky controls, and younger kids.
